Installation
If you are not comfortable working with gas or this type of installation we strongly recommend seeking the help of a professional.
Step by Step
1. Check that you have the following parts included with your log set:
- 2-1/2″ Brass fittings 90°
- 1- Flex Gas Supply Line
- 1- Sand Pan (Burner Pan)
- 1- Burner
- 1- Grate
- 1- Bag of Sand
- 1- Bag of Lava Rock
- 1- Bag Glowing Embers
NOTE: you will need a 1/2″ standard pipe cap. This is NOT included with your Log Set. (you can use the cap you remove from the gas feed line if available.)
2. Basic Tools & Supplies
- Pipe Wrench
- Channel Lock Pliers
- Crescent Wrench
- Gas Grade Teflon Tape or Pipe Dope
- Lighter
3. Clean out existing fireplace. (Inspect flu for creosote buildup Etc.)
4. Locate the Natural Gas Inlet Pipe (usually 1/2″ black pipe) inside the firebox area.
Check that the Gas Shut-Off Valve is in the “Off Position” and in good working order.
5. Remove the 1/2″ Cap on the Gas line and install one of the 90° brass fittings.
Install the other 90° brass fittings on the end of the burner (position on the side closest to the gas inlet) loosely connect the flex line between the fittings in a loop.
Be sure to cap the open end of the 1/2″ burner pipe (cap not Included)
6. Position the burner in the burner pan at the approximate center of the firebox (front to back and side to side) and tighten the fittings in the flex line (See Fig1).
Test Light The Burner (just a short burn to ensure the system is working properly)

10. Install the log grate and position the fire logs.
Large logs on the bottom, front and back with a 1″-2″ gap at center for the flame.
Arrange additional logs to your taste.
11. Check that the damper is fully open, turn the gas on low and light the fire with an extended lighter or bbq lighter at the base of the log set near the sand and lava rock.
Adjust the flame and enjoy.
If your fireplace is equipped with glass doors they must remain fully open for proper air flow.
